The latest look of Zendaya is an archival couture inspired by Cher’s 1975 Bob Mackie look.
Cher is the museum’s newest inductee.
Zendaya and Cher are two different iconic figures popularly known for their bold fashion statements. This time both the stars shared a memorable moment at the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. During the event, Zendaya had the honor of introducing Cher as the museum’s newest inductee that too while channeling Cher’s signature style on stage.
Zendaya’s outfit is a tribute to Cher.
Zendaya showed up in confidence as she graced the red carpet in a vintage Bob Mackie design. Her outfit paid tribute to an ensemble worn by Cher in 1975, when she performed "I'm a Woman" with Raquel Welch on The Cher Show. Cher's original look featured a glimmering white bandeau bustier with criss-cross details over the midriff, leading into a skirt with tassel-like accents that framed onto her navel.

In this event, Zendaya opted for a gold and sheer combination of the bandeau dress having cross-latch elements and adding her own modern twist with a slinky, sarong-style skirt. She completed the look with a white and gold off-the-shoulder blazer which belongs to the “Bob Mackie Fall 2001” couture collection. Zendaya styled her hair in sleek, straight locks with a center part, best known as a classic Cher hairstyle.
